HEVAR (HErpesvirus-based VAccines against Rotavirus infections) is a collaborative project funded by the European Union within the 6th Framework programme.
It involves four academic laboratories from four European countries (France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy) and four academic laboratories belonging to three South American countries (Argentine, Brazil, Uruguay).

HEVAR has also strong objectives in training and transfer of knowledge, in particular through the promotion and organisation of exchanges of knowledge and technologies that will take place in both directions, from Europe to South America and from this continent back to Europe.
The learning instruments offered by HEVAR will consist of lectures, seminars and trainings, theoretical workshops and practical laboratory courses, PhD programs, and the mid-term HEVAR course.
The project started on 1st December 2006 for three years. It benefits from a contribution from the European Commission amounting 1 540 000 € for a global budget of 1 753 762 €. |
